Cosmetic Treatments

Pre-Care


• This treatment is not suitable for pregnant/breastfeeding women.

• Avoid alcohol consumption at least 24 hours prior to treatment.

• Avoid anti-inflammatory/blood thinning medications, if possible, for 2 weeks prior to treatment.

• We are unable to treat you if you are going overseas in less then 2 weeks.

• Schedule your appointment at least 2 weeks prior to a special event. 

• We are unable to treat you with dermal filler if you have active cold sores.

• We are unable to treat you with dermal filler if you are on antibiotics for a current infection.

• Please be aware you cannot receive the COVID-19 or flu vaccine 2 weeks before or after receiving dermal filler. Please keep this in mind when booking an appointment. 

•  We are unable to treat you if you have had any major dental work in the last month or plan to have it in the coming month.

After-Care

• Avoid exercise for the next 24hrs.

• Avoid exposure to any heat treatments such as saunas, facials or tanning for 48 hours as it will make your anti-wrinkle treatment less effective.

• Avoid taking medications like Ibuprofen (Nurofen) or Diclofenac (Voltaire) for the next 24 hours. There is a small risk of bruising - it is generally minor and can be covered up with makeup after 24 hours.

• Do not massage the area for 6-8 hours.

• No makeup for 24 hours - this is to prevent an infection.

• Avoid alcohol for 24 hours.

• Please stay upright for the next 4-6 hours post anti-wrinkle injections.

• No COVID vaccination 2 weeks after dermal filler injections.

• Paracetamol is recommended for any pain.

• Please advise us if you have any autoimmune conditions, are immunocompromised, or have a history of severe allergies.

• Avoid scheduling treatment less than 2 weeks before a special event, as redness, swelling or bruising may occur.

• Please be aware you cannot receive the COVID-19 or flu vaccine 2 weeks before or after treatment. Please keep this in mind when booking.

• We are unable to treat you if you have had major dental work in the last month or plan to have dental work in the coming month.


After-Care


• Avoid exercise for the next 24 hours.

• Avoid exposure to heat treatments such as saunas, steam rooms, hot showers, facials or tanning for 48 hours.

• Avoid alcohol for 24 hours post-treatment.

• Do not massage, rub or apply pressure to the treated area for 24 hours unless advised by your practitioner.

• No makeup for 24 hours to reduce the risk of infection.

• Avoid active skincare products (retinoids, Vitamin A, AHA’s, BHA’s, Vitamin C) for 3–5 days post-treatment.

• Mild redness, swelling, tenderness, small bumps or bruising at injection sites is normal and should settle within a few days.

• Avoid anti-inflammatory medications for 24 hours post-treatment; paracetamol may be taken if required for discomfort.

• Stay well hydrated and follow your prescribed skincare routine as advised.

• Results develop gradually over several weeks as collagen regeneration occurs.

• Lumps and bumps will generally settle on their own. If they are present after 2 weeks, please contact your injector.

• Book your follow up appointment 2-4 weeks post dermal filler treatment.

  • Vaccinations: Avoid receiving the COVID-19 or flu vaccine 2 weeks before treatment.
  • Dental work: Cannot proceed if you have had major dental work in the last month or plan to have it in the next month.

After-Care

  • Avoid exercise for 24 hours.
  • Avoid heat treatments (saunas, facials, tanning) for 48 hours to protect treatment effectiveness.
  • Avoid blood-thinning medications (ibuprofen, diclofenac) for 24 hours unless prescribed.
  • Do not massage or rub treated areas for 6–8 hours (unless instructed).
  • Avoid makeup for 24 hours to reduce infection risk.
  • Avoid alcohol for 24 hours.
  • Remain upright for 4–6 hours post-treatment.
  • Vaccinations: No COVID-19 vaccine for 2 weeks after treatment.
  • Pain management: Paracetamol is safe if needed.

Note: Mild lumps, bumps, or swelling may appear but usually settle within 6–24 hours. Bruising is minor and can be covered with makeup after 24 hours.
